"Never."

A young woman plans her escape from the village to London. The story reveals her emotions, as she leaves the house and its memories, as she walks to the station, and subsequently when she discovers that she has missed her train. At the story's end, she sits at the piano playing the same waltz that had occupied her just before departing. She thinks: "This isn't the only day...I shall go. Some day! Some day!"
