"The Parrot."

A man takes on a parrot, to the disgust of his wife. Returning from work one day, the parrot is gone, only traces of feathers and blood remaining. In depicting an uncommunicative marriage, the tale has similarities to another early work, "A Waddler.") In T.P.'s Weekly (London, May 26, 1928, p. 137).
