"The Primrose Place."

A young man distraught at the death of his wife in a car crash seeks a spot once enjoyed with his wife, with the aim of depositing her remains. A farm woman directs him towards the spot, and watches his departure "between the lines of the hedgerows, between flaring yellow walls of maple and skeins of berries brilliant as blood." In The Wedding Party (1965).
